The best way to experience The Porch Pour is first hand.
The Experience
We begin with a simple promise: Fresh everything, Stellar service, Friendly as family and an experience that is pure pleasure from start to finish. These are our foundational beliefs. While farm-to-fork dining, fine wines, craft beers, and hand-crafted cocktails are the icing on the cake.
Southern Hospitality
Our desire is to provide a destination for everyone to relax, enjoy themselves and indulge in a wide variety of superior wines, local craft beers, hand-made cocktails, and farm-fresh food. A place that is warm, inclusive, inviting, and focused on service excellence. True southern hospitality that leaves you knowing you are part of our family.
The House
Nestled in a Victorian home originally known as The Hosford House, built in 1894, and moved to Founders Row and updated with a European inspired flair in 2020. From a house to a haven for those wanting a unique dining experience. The house that was originally located in Waxahachie and affectionately known as The Pink Lady, was moved to Midlothian where she will continue her elegant legacy as The Porch Pour.
The Conservatory
It’s what we call our porch, or veranda. It’s an inviting elevated deck that’s perfect for hanging out on a starry evening or hosting a special event. A place to relax with a breeze in your hair, a glass in your hand, a tasty treat in front of you and a smile on your face.
The Rooms
Our restaurant features a number of separate rooms, each with its own unique decor, and named after things you may find familiar. Curious? Just inquire, we’ll give you a “Clue”.
The Owners
The Porch Pour is a family-owned and operated business run by the talented and dynamic Mother/Daughter duo of Tawny and Ashton Schaffer, long-time residents of Midlothian whose mission is to “bring you a fresh experience each time you visit and have you feeling like family before you leave our porch”.
Founders Row
The Porch Pour is located in Founders Row in downtown Midlothian, the first restaurant to open in the one-of-a-kind “Founders Row” historic district. Founders Row will be home to 10 historic homes housing restaurants and local businesses that cater to consumers and provide dining, entertainment, fashion, boutique, or other personal services that are unique to the area.
